![]() I can play wireless PCVR in any room of my house, including away from my PC. The biggest thing about the Quest 2 is the convenience and flexibility. This may be a factor for music game fans, although they might just use headphones. Quest 2 sounds "fine" to me, but I was able to hear footsteps noticeably more clearly on the G2. ![]() The bass on the audio is better on the G2. The haptics didn't feel like haptics to me, the controllers just emit a loud buzzing sound whenever my virtual hands touch anything. The controllers on the G2 are pretty bad. (If you play vehicle sims and need to read tiny text on instrument panels, it might become important.) In regular gameplay I didn't really notice it. The Reverb G2 is clearer, but only if I stand and stare at the textures on a wall or something. Personally I've always been the type to prioritise framerate over resolution, so having high res for its own sake isn't important to me. I have a PC with a 3070 and mostly play fully modded SkyrimVR. I own a Quest 2 and had the opportunity to try out a Reverb G2 for a few days. Just to provide a counterpoint to some of the comments here. I hope someone can point me towards the right direction, thanks in advance. But, are there other options/alternatives that are better than Quest 2, or? And if it will be Quest 2, one should get after-market straps(?) as the one's included in the package = uncomfy etc., but any recommendations for which one to go for? Many seem to go good for Quest 2, which indeed is a suitable headset in terms of my budget. So, which budget VR headset would you recommend? I understand that used market is the way to go, and here in Norway, we've got a big pile of used VR headsets available, but since I don't know which one to go for, I am creating this thread! I understand that I limit myself a lot with such a budget, but I still hope there might be something available. ![]() I am looking for a good overall VR headset that doesn't kill the budget, which for me is about €/$300-500. I am going to use it on a PC with 32gb RAM, 3060 ti and a 12700K CPU, which I believe should be enough to tackle some of the VR headsets, yes? I've seen a couple of these threads now, but seeing that I am a complete noob in the world of VR, I gotta ask here first. Schedule an AMA!
