However, we’ve made a deliberate decision NOT to identify as a no-kill organization. Since 2015, AHS has met or exceeded that 90 standard meaning we meet the qualifications to be considered no-kill. We do not euthanize animals in our program absent a chronic, unmanageable medical condition that affects their quality of life, a persistent bite risk or determination that an animal is dangerous.Īnimal Hope is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the U.S. To be considered no-kill, a shelter or rescue has to have at least a 90 placement rate for the animals in their care.
